This series of original cyanotype prints considers the paradox of modern exploration: reaching for the stars while overlooking the vast, largely unknown world beneath our oceans. Using the cyanotype process, the prints reference early scientific imaging and exploration, grounding the work in both history and inquiry.
Each print is made to order and hand produced, resulting in subtle variations that are part of the process. The distinctive blue tones of the cyanotype create depth and contrast, reinforcing the themes of scale, mystery, and the limits of human understanding.
