This piece is created through the process of hand-carved block printing. A repeat pattern of an individual square stamp carved by hand in a spectrum of colours. Each print is one of a kind as they are printed by hand. In this print a section of the mandala is carved then printed four times to make the full circle print. This print is one of a kind.
Every print is handmade using a traditional baren, ensuring a unique touch to each piece. I use water-based inks for their sustainability and brilliant hues, with every colour mixed by hand. The print is crafted on a beautiful recycled Fabriano 200gsm paper, known for its light, white finish and slightly deckled edges, adding an elegant texture to the artwork.
